The place is a block away form main drag of Montclair. Lovely it has its own parking lot. Small place no inside seating. A few tables outside. It is busy - lots of pickup orders. The sandwiches are huge. Well made. Will visit often
This is my go to spot for a quick, delicious, and not expensive meal in the 'Clair. I routinely get the chicken shawarma with rice and beans and a salad. It's a huge meal that satisfies my taste buds and my huge appetite. It's quick, and under $15, and a healthy meal to boot. Highly recommend!
If you know you know. Best lunch in downtown montclair. It's a hole in the wall cash-only take-out joint that serves up delicious and fresh scratch-made felafel, shawarma, humus, baba and all the other tasty treats. The cheese steak is pretty awesome too. Any long time locals eat here on the regular and skip the $16 organic hipster sandwiches that have cropped up around town.... * take-out only ** cash only
Classic lunch/dinner spot. Ordered a "chicken shawarma gyro" on the phone like an idiot, and the old man who works there properly berated me (as I deserved.) Great hole in the wall spot for a meal as old as time
So good. My go-to everytime I want a falafel sandwich. BP has officially taken the #1 spot in my book of all the places I've tried falafel at.

I love Beyond Pita. I love all of their food. I love the team behind the counter. I love the sweet angry man. (Isn't he the cutest/sweetest? That tough exterior doesn't fool me! lol) I love that nothing has changed since I started going back in the late 1990s. I love them. I'm grateful they are still here churning out the delicious goodness. My faves: baklava (never had better), the Galilea with feta and onions added, the pita chips. Everything is super fresh and soooooo yummy!!!
I love this place. Service isn't the best but the food is so good. I usually get a chicken platter. It comes with rice and beans salad and pita. They give great portion sizes and I usually by a baklava as a treat. I recommend getting extra Tahini to put on it. Thank me later :)
